Any submissions received after the posted date will be disqualified. Online submissions must be received by Monday, July 28, at 12:01 a.m. PST. Mailed submissions must be postmarked by Wednesday, July 23.
Initial recipe entries will be scored on creativity and use of ingredients.
Recipes will be prepared by a professional chef. The top six recipes will be selected based on creativity and use of ingredients, taste, consistency and texture, and quality of cheese flavor.
All decisions are final. Scores from preliminary judging will not be made public.
"People's Choice" Voting
Once the six finalists have been chosen, the general public will vote online for a "People's Choice" winner.
Online voting will begin Friday, August 22, at 12:01 a.m. PST.
Online voting for the "People's Choice" will conclude Friday, October 24, at 12:01 a.m. PST.
The "People's Choice" winner will be announced at the Grand Finale cook-off on Friday, October 24.
Only one vote per person.
Grand Finale Judging
All Macaroni and Cheese Contest finalists must arrive at the designated cook-off location, ready to prepare their recipes, by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the cook-off.
Six finalists will prepare their macaroni and cheese dish from scratch in front of a live audience and panel of judges.
Finalist's recipes will be awarded points by a panel of culinary and celebrity judges, and the finalist with the highest number of points will be awarded the grand prize.
The grand prize-winner will be announced Friday, October 24, after judges have finished scoring all entries.
All decisions are final and scores from the grand finale cook-off will not be made public.
