Contest Overview

Do you make the best macaroni and cheese you've ever had? Would you like $5,000 along with macaroni and cheese fame? Then it's time you entered the 2008 Tillamook Macaroni and Cheese Recipe Contest.

Six finalists will be chosen to compete in the October 24th grand finale cook-off in Portland, OR (all travel expenses paid). The winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize, 25lbs of Tillamook cheese, and endless bragging rights.

Finalists will be chosen based on unique use of ingredients, taste, and overall creativity (just because it's comfort food, doesn't mean it's not gourmet). At the grand finale cook-off, finalists will prepare their macaroni and cheese recipes from scratch in front of a live audience. Local celebrity judges and culinary experts will judge the dishes to declare a grand finale winner.

This year's contest will also include the first-ever "People's Choice" winner. With your help, one of our six finalists will walk away with $2,500 in cash. After the six finalists have been chosen, online voting will open to the public and will take place right here. The fun begins Friday, August 22, 2008.

The Grand prize winner will receive $5,000 cash, 25 pounds of Tillamook® cheese, plus other various prizes.

First runner-up will receive $2,000 cash, 20 pounds of Tillamook® cheese, plus various other prizes.

Second runner-up will receive $1,000 cash, 15 pounds of Tillamook® cheese, plus various other prizes.

People's Choice winner will receive $2,500 cash, 25 pounds of Tillamook® cheese, plus various other prizes.

Recipes may be featured on the website and possibly on product packaging.
